⚠️ Template — not legal advice.
This page is a working template provided for transparency while we finalise our documentation. It requires review by an Australian fintech/SaaS lawyer before it is relied on as a production legal document. Last updated: 17 June 2026.
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using the Maintn platform provided by Maintn Pty Ltd. It applies to every operator, user and account. Breaching it may lead to suspension or termination under our Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited use
You must not use Maintn, or allow anyone to use it, to:
- Send unlawful or unsolicited messages. All SMS and email you send through Maintn must comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) — you must have consent, identify yourself, and offer a functional unsubscribe. Do not send spam, bulk unsolicited marketing, or messages to harvested or purchased lists.
- Harass, threaten or abuse any person, or send content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory or harmful.
- Upload or distribute illegal content, or content that infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Compromise security. Do not attempt to breach security, defeat tenant isolation, access data that is not yours, probe or scan the platform, or interfere with its operation.
- Upload malicious code — viruses, worms, or anything designed to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access.
- Reverse-engineer the platform, decompile or disassemble it, or attempt to derive source code, except to the limited extent that law expressly permits despite this restriction.
- Scrape or harvest data through automated means outside our documented API, or place an unreasonable load on the service.
- Resell or sub-licence the service, or provide access to people outside your organisation, without our written authorisation.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation.
2. Your customers’ data
You are responsible for the data you and your users enter, including ensuring you have the right and any required consent to enter third-party personal information — for example, a tenant’s or property owner’s details. Use that data only for legitimate business purposes and in line with the Privacy Policy and, where we process data on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement.
3. Voice, recording and AI features
Where you use call answering and recording, you must follow the applicable consent rules (see our Voice Recording Consent guidance). AI-assisted features are tools to support your business — you remain responsible for reviewing and approving outcomes before relying on them.
4. Rate limits and abuse protection
We apply rate limits and automated abuse protection to keep the platform fast and reliable for everyone. We may throttle, queue or block traffic that threatens stability, security or other operators’ service. Do not attempt to circumvent these controls.
5. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, we may remove offending content, throttle or suspend access, or — for serious or repeated breaches — terminate your account, in line with our Terms of Service. Where practical and lawful we will give notice first, but we may act immediately to protect the platform, other operators or third parties.
6. Reporting abuse
To report a breach of this policy, email legal@maintn.com.au. For privacy concerns, contact privacy@maintn.com.au.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes take effect on reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-product). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
